Meet the Monster Within

Oooh goodness, what can I say? Spooky creative going to Graduate School unexpectedly for Costume Design-- I'm nonbinary with two cats & hopefully many, many more one day. I've lived in the same small town most of my life- aside from when work has called for relocation (so far I've only had a few months in NC,NY, & now IL). I have never not been my weird self and somehow I get asked every time I go to the same gas station if I'm new in town or just stopping through-- As if I'm not the Designated Town Goth--

Post high school graduation in 2018, I went to Indiana University Southeast for Communications (Theatre specialty) & a fine arts minor. I have a special interest in costuming, stage makeup & special effects, & fiber arts. I graduated in Winter 2021 with a honors in theatre. I am currently in a graduate assistanceship for Costume Design while learning & working for Western Illinois University. For the summers of my program, I will have to find work in the career field to meet my degree goals.

On the topics of dreams and aspirations, I would love to work in the film field on preferably monster movies, art concepts, & other projects that just ask for something a bit different in flavor. Let there be no limits to my creative means- I would love to learn further post grad school about cosmetology, wig making, special effects & other creative outlets.
